From a second hand skirt to a first class apron.

Recently, through my boyfriends, brothers, new wife, I have acquired a pretty long skirt from none other than the mother land...The Philippines.

When I got it, I thought to myself, I will never wear this, but of course that didn't stop me from wanting it anyways. Sure I love new things, but I also appreciate the quality of Hand-Me-Downs. Something that can survive not only time, but multiple owners. Plus, everything can be of use, just maybe not in the way you had planned. Right?

Right!

This skirt, an awesome example of a Hand-Me-Down.

Being Modeled by none other then my little sister...whose taller then me.

And after a few hours the final product.

My first almost item of clothing which has taught me that:
  1. Iron's use distilled water
  2. Dogs will eat unattended string.

Pigs Galore!

My little sister has this weird thing about pigs. She loves them, wants to have one, collects anything with a pig on it...yea. Considering what pigs look like in real life...and not in cartoons or in the form of a stuffed animal...yea.

Anyways yesterday was her 19th Birthday *Woo Whooo* and I spent the whole night creating a Pig Pillow cover since I seem to be somewhat successful in them.

So...Here is my little sister's birthday present. A Pig. To Sleep On.

Copy Cat!

Valentines Day is coming and my Boy Toy and I decided to make gifts for each other this year.

This was my inspiration because:

Question: Who doesn't like a Pillow Case?
Answer: Uh...No One!

So I:

  1. Went and got 2 fabrics, one plain, one plaid and some felt.
  2. Borrowed a Sewing Machine.
  3. Read a Sewing Book
  4. ...Read another Sewing book.
  5. Broke Sewing Machine
  6. Had Grandma Fix Sewing Machine...lame
  7. Used sewing Machine...
and then finally, Created my first thing ever!

Tadah!

 Not to shabby right!

Okie Dokie.
Well this is a secret cause he obviously hasn't received these for Valentines day yet but I'm sure he wont find out because he doesn't know I have a blog. Hah.
